Graham Greenfield returns to Bell House to guide us through Oceania, an exhibition at the Royal Academy, which runs from September 29th to December 10th.
The talk will discuss the exhibition, which marks James Cook’s first voyage to the Pacific in 1768, and spans 500 years celebrating the art and culture of the region. From shell, greenstone and ceramic ornaments, to huge canoes and dazzling house facades, it will explore important themes of voyaging, place making and encounter.
