Graeme Greenfield returns to Bell House to explore the exhibition at the Royal Academy - Bill Viola / Michelanglo. This explores the affinities between two artists born centuries apart but who explore the same universal themes in their works. The exhibition runs from January 26th to March 31th.
The lecture will discuss the exhibition which features 12 major video installations by Viola, and some of the finest Michelangelo drawings from the Windsor Castle collection together with his only marble sculpture in the UK the ‘Taddei Tondo’. Graham Greenfield has worked in a variety of museums, and has lectured at Tate, Courtauld Institute of Art, the V&A, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and on almost every exhibition at the Royal Academy since 1994.
Please arrive at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.
