Finding meaning after deep loss

About this Event

Dr Sangeeta Mahajan offers her personal perspectives and reflections on the importance, possibility and ways of finding meaning after deep loss.

About the speaker:

Sangeeta is a doctor with a keen interest in the workings of young minds, their design, their expression and their challenges she have come to learn about the NHS and its limitations when it comes to looking after young people. She is a Mental health activist and educator, a qualified trainer in Youth Mental Health First aid. She has trained many teachers to identify students in difficulty at an early stage. Through writing and speaking, she endeavours to engage with as many people as she can, to prevent young suicide through raising awareness and reducing stigma.

6 years ago, she suddenly and tragically lost her beautiful son to a serious illness. She feels a kinship with other families and friends that might be grieving for their losses and engages with them with the intention to help.

This is a free event, but we’d like to ask audience members to make a donation (suggested amount £5 pp) to be split between BH and the charity PAPYRUS, the national charity for prevention of young suicide. (https://papyrus-uk.org/)
