This workshop run by speech and language therapist Jennifer Warwick and baby signing expert Charly Lewis provides an overview of language development in babies and top tips for development. Come with your little ones for this informative talk and interactive session. About the speakers:

Jennifer is a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist and author.  Since training as a Speech and Language Therapist she has worked with babies, children and young people and their families in the NHS, for charities and independently. She currently works clinically in her independent practice and in the Le Jeune Clinic for Children with Down Syndrome. Jennifer is joint author of a study that looked at early sociocognitive skills in pre-school children and teaches on this course at City University London.

Charly has always had sign language as a part of her life when her younger sister Amelia was born profoundly deaf. Whilst she was pregnant with her first baby Etta, she began researching the benefits of baby sign language for hearing babies. She couldn't believe what she found - it was like finding a secret code where you can learn to communicate with your baby before they can verbalise their needs! Now the two sisters run Ettie Betty where they teach baby sign language.
