“Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal” - Picasso
What does this mean? In this class we are going to find out a little more and have fun examining the watercolours of other artists and experimenting with some of the techniques. You can then bring what you have learned into your postcard painting.
All levels of experience are welcome - from beginners to more experienced artists, this workshop will be all about exploring the potential of watercolour as a medium for every kind of artist: representational, abstract, and everyone in between.
Materials are all included (paper, watercolour postcards, Reeves watercolour pan sets, some body colour, paintbrushes, pencils etc) but please do feel free to bring your own watercolours and brushes if you prefer.
I will provide images and reference material, but do bring along any watercolour images that you love and would like to share and learn from, and/or images that might inspire your postcard.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
Tickets are £15 per person
