Gilding for Christmas
Who doesn’t love that glimmer of gold and silver at Christmas? Come and learn how to decorate with genuine precious metal leaf - you will be taken step by step through this delightful traditional skill. No experience needed!
I will be providing metal transfer leaf and a selection of small Christmas themed items to gild but it would be lovely if you have a small item or two at home that you would like to gild : almost any rigid surface can be gilded: bare wood, plaster, card, cardboard, paper, plastic.
All materials and refreshments will be provided.
Tickets are £35 per person.
About the Artists/Workshop Leader:
The session will be run by Sarah Wetherall, a local artist who has many years of experience running art workshops, activities and events for a range of diverse groups of all ages. She worked at Dulwich Picture Gallery for over 10 years - during her time there she developed a particular interest in the link between creativity, health and well-being. This lies at the heart of all her classes.
