Make a Traditional Illuminated Letter
Part 2: Making and painting with Egg Tempera; painting with gouache on paper and wood.
ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED – NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
In this class you will learn how to make egg tempera paint which you can then use to complete your illuminated letter. You will also have the option to use beautiful gouache paint. This completes the specially designed and gilded artwork from the first class in February.
You can book this as a stand-alone class, so it is not necessary to have attended the first class in February. However, we recommend booking both so that you can have the full experience of creating a complete gilded, painted illuminated letter on the specially prepared wooden tile.

About the Artist/Workshop Leader:
The session will be run by Sarah Wetherall, a local artist whose range is broad – from murals to miniatures she has painted in a variety of media and styles. Sarah is an experienced art tutor who has run classes at nearby Dulwich Picture Gallery for many years.
