Shared Reading in the Evening

Come along to our free online shared reading sessions to enjoy great literature, discussion and company this Wednesday evening.

Shared reading is a simple and effective way of connecting with each other through experiencing great literature. Each week a poem or short story is brought along to share and discuss. That's it! It's not literary criticism, there's no homework - just a safe space where anyone can come along to listen and share their thoughts. Shared Reading builds warm and lively communities by bringing people together and books to life.

This free online event will be run using Zoom. After registration through Eventbrite for each session, the link will be accessible on the Online Event page.

About the leader

Giulia

My name is Giulia. I’m Swiss but I’ve been living in London for almost 10 years now, so you could say I feel like a Londoner. I’m graduating from an English literature undergraduate course at King’s College London this year, and starting a teacher training course at UCL in the autumn.

I’ve loved reading since I was young. The books that got me into reading are the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Harry Potter, but since then some of my favourites include The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak and A Court of Thrones and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I love bringing in poetry and short stories to The Reader sessions that I run, so if that sounds like something you might like please join us!
