Mixed Techniques – all levels, with Schneider - 6-week course for adults

£225 for six 2-hour sessions.

Each course is on a Thursday afternoon and last for 6 weeks.

  • Thursday 24th Oct - 28th Nov, 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm

On this course you can explore either throwing on the wheel or hand-building or combine both techniques within one piece. Whether you are a complete beginner who wants to try as many techniques as possible or a more advanced student with a specific mixed project in mind, our experienced tutor, will assist you with your ceramic creations.

During the weekly 2-hour sessions:

  • You can choose to throw on the wheel or explore a variety of hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building.

  • To finish your pieces, you will learn decorating techniques, experimenting with slips and inlay.

  • You will also learn how to finish your pots and how to glaze them

  • You can keep up to eight pieces which will be fired for you at the end of this course.

  • The cost of all materials and firings are included in your course fee.

  • This course is suitable for both beginners and those experienced working with clay. You can work independently or follow the projects which are taught by the tutor.

Please note:

  • This course is for adults, aged 18 and over.

  • Working with clay can be a messy business and aprons will not be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing.
